It is strangely quiet in our house today.
Kid 118 and Yo-yo are off on a camping adventure with my parents. It is quiet, and our house is surprisingly uncluttered.
Interesting development.
They'll be back tomorrow, and things will be back to normal. There will be books, pencils, and paper all over the house. There will be noisy exclamations over bird-sightings and new words read. There will be arguments and laughter and the noise of lots of extra footsteps running all around.
But for now, we'll enjoy some extra time to converse with the kids who are home. Funny how the dynamics change when different combinations of kiddos are present.
At dinner yesterday, it was just Spike, Crash, Daddy and I. Weird but fun in its own way.
I think there's been opportunity for bonding of our oldest 2... I hope, anyway.
We'll be happy to have everybody home, but it's fun to note the changes... and the quiet. God bless Grandma and Pada for taking those 2 on a big, fun trip.
See you tomorrow, my little stink bombs!!
