A Few Firsts
First daffodil blossom
First buds on our trees
First reptile sighting... and first sundress of the season!
It won't be long until everything is green!
Looks like the flowers might have been in full bloom, or close to it, just in time for Easter! Yesterday, however, we had snow. I have no idea if they'll survive...Have a blessed Holy Week.

They're Back!!!!
After a 2-year (plus) stint in Hong Kong, My brother and his family are permanently stateside!!!!! God bless them for trekking up to my parents' last weekend so we could hug and kiss them in person.
So happy they're back!!
My sibs and I. I'm the youngest - haha.
They made it home just in time for this little guy's first birthday. Not 100% sure about frosting.
It was also Pada's 70th birthday, so Grandma made apple pie AND cupcakes.
A little help from Mommy, and all is well.
There were rides on Pada's new
...and an 'abduction' (induction) into the CCC (cool cousins club).
Hey! Where'd she come from?!

Baby Talk
I love it when little ones really start talking. You just never know how things will come out!!
Here's a funny one I want to make sure we remember: "wookies."
What are 'wookies,' you say? They are oranges.
Many times, when Baby was asking for cookies or falling apart for whatever reason, I would pick up a piece of fruit, often an orange, and say, "Looky here! Would you like an orange?"
I obviously used this tactic enough that Baby things oranges are called wookies. I just may use that terminology for the rest of my life.
Another funny expression is his use of "cuppa (couple)." My kids are always standing in the pantry asking for or helping themselves to snacks. If I intervene, I'll often say, "OK, but just have a couple!" Or the kids will ask, "Can I just have a couple?"
So, now, Baby wanders near or looks over at the pantry, cookies on the counter, or whatever food item he has in mind and says, "cuppa!!" So funny.
Have a happy day!
