Animal Lovers
We had a big day today, and it was all about animals...
Daddy had the day off, so he came with us to horseback riding lessons.

Then, we headed to our friends' house to pick up kittens. We had agreed to taking 1 or 2 several weeks ago, so excitement about the day they would be ready for us had been mounting. When we arrived, we discovered that the whole family of cats had mysteriously disappeared! Since our cat Susan, whom we all loved so much, had also recently gone missing, everybody was particularly sad. So, on a whim, I drove to a house of perfect strangers where I had seen a sign for free kittens in the front yard. They were home, still had a barn full of kittens, and we were in business. Therefore, I now introduce.... Hamlet and Ophelia!!!

Some Things in Life You Just Can't Predict
During Mass this morning, we had to rush Felicity out to the bathroom. This, in and of itself, is not a surprising occurrence. However, it was not an urgent potty call but an emergency need for hand washing this time. She had stuck her finger in the baby's diaper to "check."
Didn't see that one coming.
On Tuesday, I took the girls to eye doctor appointments. We were hanging out in the waiting room when Lucy accidentally knocked the fake part of her front tooth out. I was in the optometrist office calling the dentist.
Not on my agenda.
On Friday, we had a sudden storm with crazy winds that were gusting up to 90 mph! Below you'll see a long-awaited swingset that was installed in our backyard 2 weeks ago.

It may be cliche to say so, but there really never is a dull moment around here...
