Confirmation!!

 

Two of my children are now confirmed Catholics!  Praise the Lord!

 

I've been Catholic myself now for 19 years, but something about the permanence of the seal of the Holy Spirit really opened up in my mind and heart this time around.  Of course, you have to open yourself up to receiving and calling on the gifts of the Holy Spirit, but they are there forever!! 

 

My favorite image of the night is the second picture above... Our dear Bishop and Spike's sponsor, our dear friend Steve, knelt down to be at Spike's level for the photo.  So sweet. 

 

Also, love having our little altar server stand alongside all those big boy servers.  Such an honor for him to assist the Mass with our Bishop, who gives the best confirmation homilies, by the way.
