I love the cheerful atmosphere when everything's decorated for Christmas! This year was particularly enjoyable because it's our first Christmas in our new house!
The 'big' tree
The living room mantle
Our Jesse tree and Advent book basket
The stockings all hung...
{Funny, Real}
St. Nicholas brought this cool Lego set on his feast day, but...
...this is as much progress as we've made. Thank goodness for the 12 days of Christmas!
Somebody decided all the nativity figures needed to be as close as possible to Baby Jesus.
I searched all over for a new tree angel, but was dissatisfied with the ones I found. I ordered this one online, and nobody likes her, except for me. I think the male contingent is annoyed by her fuzzy wings. Oh well.
Every morning, these are usually the first 2 faces I see. They like to make their own apple cider in the coffee maker. Somebody was still a little crabby and irritated that she had to wait in line...
Merry Christmas!!
Wonderful pictures. Merry Christmas. I love the playmobile nativity.

I like your angel, she looks a lot like our usual one except she's dressed in red. This year we went with a new star from Martha Stewart. Sometimes change is nice.

I just read about a quote from Padre Pio where he invites us to stay as close to the baby Jesus in the manger cradle as possible. Your kids understand that by instinct--we all want to get up close to see a new baby, especially The Baby. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteNativities are fun to set up. Sometimes I like to move them around to catch different snapshots of what it might have been like. All gathering close is perfect.
ReplyDeleteThe stockings all hung are so pretty. Someday I hope I'll be able to do that. :)
My kids do the same thing with shoving all of the nativity figures right next to the baby Jesus! It's super cute to see that's pretty common. :) Hope you had a Merry Christmas
