I surprised my kiddos with comic books and craft supplies and my husband with a new Green Lantern t-shirt. Very Romantic.
Baby got some hugs and kisses, then some more hugs and kisses.
I'm guilty of taking more pictures of Mr. 9-month-old than anybody else, I'm afraid. He had his well-baby visit this week and is up to the 16th percentile in height!! As for weight, he's still barely hanging on to the bottom of the chart. Those numbers are pretty typical of little ones in our gene pool.
He may be small, but he's a mover!!
This is what we call crawling, at the moment. Still not very coordinated, but he can push up on both feet and launch himself forward. This results in many face-plants, but he's taking it like a champ.
"Let me inspect that camera strap, Mom!"
"Who me??"
Note the camera strap addiction.
"Better yet, just let me have that camera!"
"Who put that gate there?"
And, yes, we do have other children living in this house...
Our Super Bowl Party
This cheeseball made the cheeseball.
And, last but not least, we've been learning some things in our little homeschool...
This is not a representative sample, but a couple points of recent interest...
Re-enacting the Battle at Ft. Quebec Liturgical Saint dolls from our 4H club meeting. Each family did enough of 2 saints to share, so we came home with a great collection! Thanks Shannon for getting us moving on this idea!
Hope your Lent is off to an excellent start. We've given up a variety of things, mostly involving electronics. A cetain 8-year-old decided to forego reading fiction. He'll be sticking to the facts for 40 days. :)
As for myself, I'll be staying off facebook and fasting from wine. I want to do some spiritual reading, too, but more on that later...
Happy meatless Friday!
